On May 17th, Srikandi Kebangsaan Clubza successfully held an event named "The Color Analysis and Confidence" at Pusanika, Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM), which attracted 150 participants. The event aimed to enhance the self-confidence of young people by exploring the impact of color on personal style and outward appearance, fostering inner growth and confidence.
One of the highlights of the event was the color analysis session. Experts guided participants on how to select the most suitable colors for their skin tone, eye color, and hair shade. Organizer Siti Nurain Sumayyah Binti Ahmad Radzi explained, “Color is a universal language. It speaks to people visually before words are even spoken.” She emphasized that wearing the right colors can instantly enhance a person’s appearance, making them look healthier, brighter, and more vibrant. This visible improvement can have a positive emotional impact, particularly for those who feel insecure, making color analysis a powerful tool for empowerment.
However, Ms. Siti Nurain also pointed out that color analysis is not just about improving outward appearances but also about helping individuals build internal confidence. “While understanding color is important, true self-affirmation comes from within,” she said. “It’s about accepting your unique features, personality, and strengths.” Color analysis serves as a bridge to self-affirmation, encouraging participants to embrace their natural beauty and boosting their confidence.
One of the participants, Ms. Hureen Zuhaira Zulkiflee, is the President of Srikandi Kebangsaan Club, also the host of this event. She shared her personal insights. Initially, she didn’t pay much attention to the colors she wore, but after attending the event, she realized how color affects both her appearance and confidence. “Color is not just an outward decoration; it subtly influences how others perceive us,” Ms. Hureen explained. “Especially in professional settings like interviews, the choice of color directly impacts how others assess our professionalism and responsibility.” She also mentioned that despite facing challenges with funding and misunderstandings during the preparation, the team successfully overcame them, ensuring all participants benefited from the event.
The event also included a makeup workshop, where participants learned basic makeup techniques to enhance their natural features, helping them feel more confident in their appearance. The workshop also provided grooming advice for male participants, teaching them simple ways to improve their appearance with minimal effort.
Despite the challenges faced during the event’s preparation, Ms. Hureen said, “This event was not just about learning color theory. It was also about self-discovery and growth. Everyone left with more confidence, having learned how to express themselves through color.” She further added that Srikandi Kebangsaan Club will continue to host similar events in the future, helping more young people explore their self-expression, enhance their confidence, and break through self-imposed limitations.
Through “The Color Analysis & Confidence,” Srikandi Kebangsaan Club successfully demonstrated how color analysis can not only improve one’s appearance but also foster greater self-assurance. By providing participants with the tools to better understand how to use color to their advantage, the event empowered them to express their true selves confidently. The event highlighted how color can serve as a powerful tool for both self-expression and confidence-building, helping young people embrace a more confident and fulfilling future.
