KUALA LUMPUR, 20 Dec — Comic Fiesta 2025, one of Malaysia’s annual anime and pop culture events, was held at the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre this month, bringing together a wide range of anime, gaming and art lovers. The two-day event saw steady crowds throughout the weekend, with visitors filling the exhibition halls from morning till evening.

Comic Fiesta is regarded as one of the country’s established anime conventions and has, over the years, continued to attract local and overseas creators, fan communities and vendors. This year’s event remained focused on anime and gaming culture, featuring areas dedicated to fan-made works, merchandise sales, cosplay displays and stage performances, offering visitors a wide range of activities.

Many attendees were seen wearing costumes inspired by anime and video game characters, gathering at designated areas for photography and interaction. Several booths were operated by local illustrators and independent creators, showcasing original comics, artwork and related merchandise, reflecting the ongoing development of Malaysia’s local creative scene.

Ng Yeen Han, a university student who attended Comic Fiesta 2025 on Saturday, said the event allowed fans to connect with others who share similar hobbies. “Comic Fiesta gives us a chance to meet people with the same interests and learn more about local creators. It is not only about buying merchandise, but also about meeting people and sharing ideas,” she said.

In terms of event management, clear signage was placed throughout the venue, and staff members were stationed to guide visitor movement and maintain order. Overall, the event proceeded smoothly, with no major disruptions reported. While certain time periods saw higher crowd density, walkways within the halls remained accessible.

Daniel Lim, Event Director of Comic Fiesta 2025, said the event helped increase public awareness of local creative works. “ There are many independent artists here, and visitors can see their original work in person. Events like this help more people notice and support local creators,” he said.

The information and details in this report were gathered from the official channels and announcements of Comic Fiesta, and are based on the confirmed occurrence of the event at the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre during the stated period.

According to the organizers, Comic Fiesta is intended to serve as a space for fans and creators to connect while supporting the growth of local creative culture. The event is scheduled to continue until the end of the weekend, with attendance expected to be similar to previous years.
