Halal Food Expo Held at Pavilion Bukit Jalil to Promote China–Malaysia Exchange

KUALA LUMPUR, Dec. 6 —A Halal Food Expo was held on Dec. 6 at Pavilion Bukit
Jalil, aiming to promote culinary exchange and strengthen cooperation between China and Malaysia through food culture and commercial engagement.
The event was jointly organized by He Ping,the boss of SIGNCHINA International Travel Admin Sdn.Bhd.
Featuring a wide variety of halal-certified cuisines, the expo attracted large crowds of local residents, food enthusiasts, and visitors throughout the day.
Numerous booths showcased halal food products and traditional cooking techniques from different regions, highlighting the diversity of ethnic food cultures while adhering strictly to halal standards. Vendors prepared dishes on-site, allowing visitors to observe the cooking process and learn more about the ingredients and preparation methods directly from exhibitors. Popular stalls saw long queues, reflecting strong public interest and enthusiasm.
Among the highlights of the expo were halal hotpot offerings and a range of regional specialty dishes, which provided visitors with an immersive culinary experience. The combination of live cooking demonstrations and cultural introductions helped bridge understanding between different food traditions and dietary practices.
Speaking at the event, He Ping noted that Malaysia and China have frequently cohosted halal food exhibitions in recent years as part of broader efforts to promote bilateral exchange and cooperation. “These events not only strengthen ties between our two countries but also help further develop and promote halal cuisine on the international stage,” he said.
Organizers emphasized that the expo represents ongoing efforts to deepen cultural and commercial engagement between China and Malaysia, particularly through food and lifestyle-related initiatives. They added that such events provide a valuable platform for businesses to connect with consumers, explore market opportunities, and foster mutual understanding between communities.
The Halal Food Expo reflects the growing importance of halal cuisine in the global food industry and underscores the role of cultural exchange in supporting international cooperation.
