BANGI, May 19 - Persatuan Pelajar Indonesia (PPI) of Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM) once again held an annual activity entitled Fun Run, which successfully united Indonesian students in the spirit of sports, togetherness, and cheerfulness.

Issei Reswara Mohammed Ahadian, the Chief Executive of Fun Run 2025 and a student from the Faculty of Economics and Management, said, “that this activity was held with the main goal of inviting Indonesian UKM students to maintain fitness and health, as well as strengthen solidarity. The background of the Fun Run is to invite Indonesian students to maintain fitness and health, as well as strengthen solidarity," he explained.

Despite facing challenges in inviting all PPI members to actively participate, this activity still received a positive response from the participants. "What makes this year special is the new chairman of the organizers, more interesting games, and a new running track."

One of the participants, Rausyan Kayyis Abrary, a Media Communication student, revealed that the reason for participating in the Fun Run was because he wanted to stay healthy, but still be able to have fun with friends. "It's fun to be healthy but to have fun with friends," he said.

For Rausyan Kayyis, even though it was the second time to participate in the Fun Run, he still felt that this activity was fun and useful. "It is very important to exercise during college, because the habits of youth determine old age, especially for health," he added. The most memorable according to him was the final session with various exciting games. "Not only is he tired, but he's also tired. The atmosphere is cool, we all just blend in taste. You're tired, but you’re happy." he recalled with a smile.

A funny moment happened. "There are those who use bicycles during the Fun Run, even though we are running," he said.

For Indonesian students in UKM, this activity has a great meaning in building closeness, making everyone feel more familiar. "Obviously this strengthens the relationship between PPI children, so it's not rigid even though it's different generations."

Both the committee and participants hope that this Fun Run can become an annual routine agenda of PPI SMEs, and can even be expanded in scale. The chief executive hopes that such activities can be "held every year and involve other international children."

As a suggestion for the committee, participants added, "The more sounding the event is widespread, so that it is more crowded."

In addition to the physical impact in the form of fitness, participants felt mental benefits such as stress relief in the midst of a busy lecture. "Physically healthy, mentally relieved. "It can take a toll on the stress of the day."

With various excitement, positive values, and a spirit of togetherness instilled, the PPI UKM 2025 Fun Run is not only a sports event, but also a celebration of the brotherhood of Indonesian students abroad.
