The festival features 12 components, including the Malaysian Heritage Garden, KL Balcony Showdown, Environmental Arts, Mystical Titiwangsa, Garden of Haven, Rhythm of Life, ASEAN Market Place, ASEAN Sculpture Garden, Outdoor Adventures, Young Expression, Community Garden, and Nature Spark.
“This festival is an open invitation for all city residents to celebrate diversity, creativity, and innovation. It showcases how arts, culture, food, and nature can unite communities of various backgrounds,” said Kuala Lumpur Mayor Datuk Seri Dr. Maimunah Mohd Sharif.
One of DBKL’s community initiative representatives, Jing Zongg, showcased a project that turns food waste into compost and promotes the cultivation of herbs and flowering plants. “Even in the city center, we can grow our own food and turn food waste into compost. By doing so, we can build a sustainable food ecosystem together while addressing issues of food waste and food security,” he said.
