Short Video Competition in Conjunction with International Day of Persons with Disabilities 2025

Participants may join individually or in groups. Participation is free of charge, and each person or group may submit only one entry. Every video must align with the theme “Kepelbagaian Dirai, Inklusiviti Diterajui” . The video should be original, free from political or religious elements, and have a duration of one to two minutes with a maximum file size of 2 GB. All genres are accepted, including animation, drama, skit, or documentary. The organizer reserves the right to reject entries that violate the terms and conditions, and all decisions made will be final.

This initiative reflects UKM’s ongoing commitment to fostering inclusivity and celebrating diversity within its campus community.

BANGI, 18 October - In collaboration with the upcoming celebration of the International Day of Persons with Disabilities 2025, Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM) through the Registrar ’s Department will hold a Short Video Competition themed “ Kepelbagaian Dirai, Inklusiviti Diterajuii ” (Diversity Celebrated, Inclusivity Led).

The competition, which extends a sincere invitation to all UKM staff and students, seeks to promote the awareness of UKM students about persons with disabilities , and create an accessible environment on campus, such as offering equal opportunities, respecting rights, and including.

“The short video competition aims to raise awareness among the UKM community toward persons with disabilities. It is one of the ongoing programmes leading up to OKU Day in December. The first prize is RM500, the second RM300, and the third RM200,” said Ms. Farhanah Md Isa, Senior Assistant Registrar at the Disability Services and Support Unit (UPS-OKU), Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia.
